Terms and conditions
Refer a friend Scheme
By participating in the Refer a Friend Scheme (the “Scheme”) or by redeeming the Offer and ordering a course, you are confirming your agreement and will be bound by these “Refer a Friend” Terms and Conditions. Please read the Refer a Friend Terms and Conditions carefully before participating in this Scheme and download a copy for your personal records, should you need to refer back to the agreement at a later date.

- The Offer means that student referrers will be entitled to a credit of 500 € if they refer a friend to enrol on any course and that friend enrolls and begins the course at University of Applied Sciences Europe (UE Amsterdam) located at Passeerdersgracht 23 1016 XG Amsterdam (“the University”) within 12 months of the referral. In addition, the referee (referred friend) will also gain a credit of 500€ (“Offer”).
- The Offer is only available to existing University students, or alumni. The referred friend’s details will be verified by the University prior to any credit being awarded. You must also ensure you have the consent of your referred friend prior to referring them to the University under this Scheme.
- The Offer may be redeemed by the referrer and the referee against any BBA courses or MSc course offered at the University as a credit in the sum of 500 € each against the fees payable for the course (“Credit”) provided that it issued within 12 months of the date of the referral.
- The referrer and the referred friend will only be eligible to receive their 500 € Credit each, once the referred friend has enrolled and paid their fees.
- The Offer cannot be redeemed as any other discount or financial benefit to students or the referred friend and does not apply to amounts payable to the professional body for student/delegate registration, exemptions and examination entries. It may be combined with other bursaries or awards.
- The Offer is made subject to participation in a maximum of 10 referrals and subject to the availability of the courses running on the scheduled dates.
- The Offer commences on 01/11/2023 at midnight (“Start Date”); subject to clause 20, the Offer expires on 30/12/2025 (“Closing Date”).
- To redeem the Credit, students must email Rich Hooff, richhooff@ue-amsterdam.com with details of the referral. Students must quote reference, “Refer a Friend” and provide the full name and contact details of the referred friend (including telephone number and email address), when making their booking (“the Referral”).
- The Offer can only be redeemed against a new qualifying booking onto the course from a referred friend who has not booked a place on the course before the date of the Referral.
- Subject to availability, the referred friend may book a course in relation to any dates available at the selected centre on condition that their application to enrol in the course has been accepted by the University and confirmed in writing by the Closing Date or (if earlier) before the Offer is withdrawn.
- Enrolment at the courses offered by the University is subject to the General Terms and Conditions which apply to all of the University’s products and can be viewed at here.
- The referrer will be required to provide written acknowledgement of acceptance of these Terms and Conditions before redeeming the Offer.
- The University’s standard cancellation and deferral terms will apply to the course as set out in the General Terms and Conditions. Should any refund or credit note be due to a referred friend, the value of such refund or credit note will be the amount of fees actually paid by the referred friend.
- Should a referred friend choose to defer the start date of their course in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions, the Offer will not apply to the rebooking of the deferred course and additional course fees may be payable.
- If, after redemption of the Offer, a referred friend cancels their booking for the course, then the Offer will no longer be available to the student (even if still generally available to other students).
- The University will process the information it receives from the student or referred friend or otherwise holds about the student or referred friend in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the General Terms and Conditions, and its privacy policy, which is available at Privacy Policy.
- In the event that a student or referred friend does not wish to receive correspondence from the University or any member of its group of companies, the student or referred friend should email UE Amsterdam at richhooff@ue-amsterdam.com or write to the University’s Director at UE Amsterdam, Passeerdersgracht 23 1016 XG Amsterdam.
- Students and the referred friend cannot use this Offer in conjunction with any other discounts or offers by the University. The Offer is non-transferable by the student or referred friend (either to another student or to another course run by the University and no cash alternative will be offered).
- The University reserves the right to withdraw this Offer at any time without notice. It may update or amend the Offer, these Terms and Conditions and/or the General Terms and Conditions from time to time to comply with law or meet changing business requirements without notice to the student or referred friend. Any updates or amendments will be posted on the UE Amsterdam website at here. Please ensure you are familiar with both sets of terms and conditions before ordering a course.
- The University is not liable for any delay or failure to perform any obligation to students or a referred friend that is caused by any circumstance beyond its reasonable control or by any act or omission of any third party. The University shall not be liable to any student or referred friend for any financial loss arising out of the refusal, cancellation or withdrawal of the Offer or any failure or inability of a student to redeem the Offer for any reason. The Refer a Friend Scheme is for non-commercial use only. The University reserves the right to refuse to apply the Credit to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions or anyone exploiting, in any way, the Scheme.
- This Scheme and the Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law and students participating in the Scheme submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
