This includes a comprehensive orientation programme, academic support, internships, and post-graduate opportunities. Workshops

Students are invited to workshops covering specific topics by UE Amsterdam lecturers and guest speakers. These workshops will help students explore their interests, industry preferences, and job opportunities.

Guest Speaker Workshops (Initial Offering)

  • Roshana Froon: Acculturation/Integrating into Dutch Society
  • Robert Coelen: Value of Diversity in Business
  • Erik Schmit: How to Deal with Dutch Politics (including a visit to city hall)

Know Who You Are This workshop helps students understand their qualities, strengths, weaknesses, interests, values, and passions. It also assists them in identifying potential industries for work.

Exploring Job Market Opportunities and Networking This workshop helps students understand their job preferences, the importance of networking, where to find networking events, and how to create a professional pitch.

Webinars

Students can attend webinars on topics providing a basic guideline and foundation for their job-seeking journey:

  • Writing a Resume and Cover Letter
  • LinkedIn Basics
  • Preparing for a Job Interview and Salary Negotiation

Dutch Language Classes

Students will have access to basic Dutch language classes, essential for integrating into the Netherlands and meeting requirements by many companies in the Netherlands.

  • 20 hours to complete the programme
  • Weekly classes
  • Certificate on completion

Consulting Services 1:1

This service provides personalized guidance on improving resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles. It also offers advice for students interested in pursuing a master’s or specific industry work. Services are available by appointment.

  • Resume / CV check (20 minutes)
  • Cover letter check (40 minutes)
  • LinkedIn check (20 minutes)
  • Choosing a Master’s (Study advisor)
  • Choosing an internship / job (Coach)

Social & Career Events

Students can attend networking events to meet alumni and industry professionals. Events organized by partner companies are also available.
